Building a Fresh Brand for an Established Business: Kruse Lumber

Kruse Lumber Sign

Kruse Lumber's brand underwent a recent remodel while celebrating a milestone: 100 years of serving southeastern Minnesota’s residential and commercial builders. In 1915, Henry Johannes (H.J.) Kruse founded Kruse Lumber and Coal. When contractors work with Kruse, they are working with an experienced team able to provide quality solutions and offer quality products.

As the times change, logos change; and, so do websites. Kruse Lumber is a reliable, quality brand. While the way we communicate and what we find visually appealing may evolve, the value of quality remains constant. Quality matters whether one is building a home, a business, or a website. Kruse Lumber chose CWS to build a quality website for them.

Kruse Lumber Website

CWS Web Developer Joe Milbach built Kruse Lumber’s new website to be mobile responsive with off canvas navigation. Their site now meets their clients wherever they are, in a way that is convenient for them.

Graphic and Web Designer, Sarah Link, designed Kruse Lumber’s new website with lumber in mind. She used green, tan, and gray for the site’s color palette.

Programmer and photographer, Elijah Parker, went to Kruse Lumber to take pictures for their new website. Photos taken by Parker were used throughout the site.

To help Kruse Lumber achieve it’s website goals, CWS created and provided the following:

  • An eCMS (Content Management System) gallery that makes it easy to add and rearrange the order of items
  • A functional site with an improved layout that makes it easier for site visitors to find essentials, like Kruse Lumber’s eShowroom.
  • Great pictures and video that tell their story and show off their actual showroom.
  • A clearance section that they can edit using the eCMS gallery. The background color from sale item to sale item alternates to make it easier for site visitors to visually scan.

Congratulations to Kruse Lumber on their new website! CWS's team looks forward to continuing to celebrate Kruse Lumber's big birthday.
