Launch: Diversity Council's Customized Scheduling Application

CWS is happy to announce the launch of Diversity Council’s customized scheduling application!

What is the Diversity Council?

The Rochester Diversity Council began in 1989 as Building Equality Together (BET), when the leadership of Rochester Public Schools recognized the need to combat racism and discrimination in public schools. Since that time, they have expanded their efforts to address an understanding of all diversity - ethnicity, age, socio-economic class, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.

What Rochester’s Diversity Council wanted from CWS…

The Diversity Council wanted a system to replace their current scheduling program, which was built several years ago. This new system would include more in-depth functionality, allow greater control over their email content and could be managed easily by all members of their staff.

What CWS did for them…

Jonny Yucuis was the Project Leader for Diversity Council’s CWS Cares project with Shane Kovash and Eric Reynolds as the Development Team. Together they were able to create a sound and stable application using Ruby on Rails and Twitter’s Bootstrap framework. The advantage of using Twitter’s framework allows users to access the scheduler from any medium, including mobile devices.

Users now can also browse schedules, view documents, add locations, and edit their profiles in only a few short steps!

We hope CWS made the Diversity Council's life a little bit easier with this custom application!
