In the wake of the April 20 catastrophic oil rig explosion that led to a massive spill in the Gulf of Mexico, killing 11 workers and causing our nation's worst environmental disaster, the question still persist, "How could this happen?"

FREE SeminarOn Thursday, August 26, from 7pm to 8:30pm at the RAC Cascade Meadow Wetlands & Environmental Science Center will present, "The Gulf Oil Disaster: How Could This Happen?"

Local geologist, Jeffrey Broberg, Vice President of McGhie & Betts Environmental Services, Inc., formerly worked for 10 years as a Petroleum Exploration Geologist on the Louisiana Gulf Coast. He will share his inside perspective into the Gulf Coast oil spill.
