Moving to Wordpress

Monday, December 14th, 2009 by Lyle Mullican

Although many of you read it by email, the content of the CWS newsletter actually comes from our company blog. We collect the newest articles every week or so and send them out by email. CWS started blogging in 2006 using Blogger as our software platform. Four years later, we've now converted to Wordpress instead. We've long recommended Wordpress to our clients for its ease of use, robust plugin architecture and extremely flexible templating system, but it's taken a while to migrate our own system.

Wordpress is free, open-source software supported by a great community of Web developers. According to Wordpress.org:

WordPress started in 2003 with a single bit of code to enhance the typography of everyday writing and with fewer users than you can count on your fingers and toes. Since then it has grown to be the largest self-hosted blogging tool in the world, used on millions of sites and seen by tens of millions of people every day.

We're excited to be blogging on a new software platform and look forward to making enhancements to the blog as time goes on.
