The Impending Death of Internet Explorer

Microsoft is ending support for Internet Explorer 8, 9, and 10 on January 12, 2016. For now, only Internet Explorer 11 will be supported. This means that Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for older versions of Internet Explorer. If you haven’t upgraded to Internet Explorer 11—now is the time.

Better yet, upgrade to Microsoft’s newest browser, Edge. In March of 2015, Microsoft announced that it will soon phase out Internet Explorer completely. Edge is faster and more streamlined than Internet Explorer. It also has new features, such as built-in note taking, easy sharing, and integration with Microsoft's virtual assistant, Cortana.

It is important to stay on top of upgrades, especially for web browsers. Older browsers make PCs vulnerable to viruses, malware, and spyware. If you use a PC, upgrade to Edge and stay safe.
