Launch: Peppermint Park

CWS is excited to announce the launch of a new e-commerce application. Peppermint Park is a new business started by Jessie Conners, a Minneapolis entrepreneur who was a contestant in the very first season of NBC's hit show The Apprentice with Donald Trump.

Peppermint Park sells designer women's fashion items. Anyone can make a purchase, but members who join the site for a small monthly fee receive deep discounts on these normally high-dollar products. Members also have the opportunity to refer friends to the site and earn a commission.

Because Peppermint Park had a number of specific business requirements, CWS was engaged to develop an entirely custom Web application from the ground up, rather than using an off-the-shelf product to run the business. In addition to serving as a shopping cart for customers, the system offers a wide range of sophisticated administrative tools to manage operations and control an inventory with thousands of distinct products. The application also serves as a point-of-sale sytem for in-house events held at the Peppermint Park showroom in downtown Minneapolis.
