CWS is pleased to announce the launch of Getsetmn.info, a centralized website for an 11 county region of southeast Minnesota libraries to coordinate information and programs for area teens.
In October 2009, Southeastern Libraries Cooperating/Southeast Library System (collectively known as SELCO) began work on a grant project titled-Serving Teens and Tweens @ Your Library. The grant project was funded by Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) through the Institute of Museum and Library Services, a federal agency that fosters innovation, leadership & a lifetime of learning.
Getsetmn.info also houses the creation of eight program kits, created in conjunction with teen advisory boards in southeastern Minnesota. The teen advisory boards enable youth to take a leadership role to discuss ideas and make plans for youth library programs, teen web pages and other ideas. The kits cover various activities including: Cooking, Digital Photography, Laser Tag, Mini Golf and a Mystery Kit to name a few.
