Launch:  Motor Inn Company Facebook Contest

Motor Inn Company of Albert Lea is a great example of a local car dealership using Social Media Contests to connect with customers and increase likes on their Facebook page.

THE PRIZE
A grill that looks like a car engine!

ENTRY METHOD
Customers fill in a simple entry form developed by CWS that's on Motor Inn's Facebook page.

THE EXTRAS
Like to Enter: Liking cannot be the form of entry, that's illegal in the Facebook world, but you can ask them to like the page to get to the entry form. (They can always unlike you after. Of course most of them don't. Hence the beauty of the "Like to Enter" feature.) Database Capture: Names are captured in a database. Motor Inn can add these customers to a mailing list for continued marketing after the contest. Submit and Share: A submit and share button enhances the reach greatly. When a customer enters, a message posts on their personal page, informing their friends that they entered the Motor Inn Grill Give Away.

Facebook Ad Campaign: A Facebook Ad campaign tells people in the Facebook world about the contest.

CWS Marketing Account Strategist, Heather Holmes and Social Media Strategist, Jonny Yucuis, developed the idea, strategy, rules and Facebook ad campaign. Graphic Designer, Sarah Link, and Programmer, Eric Reynolds, designed and built the pages. Entries are rolling in and page engagement and likes are climbing everyday.
