Utilizing productivity enhancements... and other big words

I saw this in the datasheet for Lotus Notes:

Is being forced to confirm that I wanted to close the application -- after I just clicked the giant red X -- really an enhancement to productivity?

Implicit in this question is the assumption that using this software is the most important thing I'm doing. Surely I don't really mean to close it down.

That's kind of a pointless feature to write about when explaining "enhanced productivity". At least they included the ability to disable that "function".

I've used software in the past that asks for confirmation to exit the application. It's one thing if asks if you'd like save before exiting, but asking if you really want to exit? Come on...

"Are you sure you wish to exit [program name]?"

...Yeah, pretty sure I am.

That's funny. Maybe Google will implement a new "enhanced productivity" step... "Do you really want to search for [insert keywords]"? Please confirm...

That'd be an excellent implementation!

For those naysayers who are afraid of change, they would require that you register an account with them to disable SearchEnhancerPRO.
