The Next Net 25

Business 2.0 released it's list of the next 25 great web companies. Interestingly enough, many of the companies listed are those dedicated to Web 2.0 and the evolution of the internet in web-based applications. I was not suprised to see the article highlight the practicality and usefulness that the "new internet" will provide.

"The Next Net is deeply collaborative: People from across the planet can work together on the same task, and products or tools can be rapidly tweaked and improved by the collective wisdom of the entire online world."

As I see more and more web applications being developed, such as Basecamp, DropSend, JotSpot, and Campfire... it confirms that CWS's ideology is on the right track. We developed our first web-based application, ClubRochester.com, in February of 2002. Since then, we have released RapidNewsletter.com and our third application, GroupLoop.com is in development. GroupLoop is a web-based application for connecting members of boards of directors and/or committees. Organizers are able to post meetings on a calendar, send out notifications, upload and archive files, such as meeting minutes, and post messages.

GroupLoop will be released Spring 2006. We are very excited about this new application and how useful it will be for many organizations. With the help of our expert developers and some luck, maybe you'll even see us on the "Next Net 25 or 50 or 100" list in 2007.
